A Message from the Pastor:
“Wesley United Methodist Church is truly a wonderful place! And that is not some trite, advertising expression. Wesley is that kind of caring, sharing, devoted congregation.
Wesley boasts a long and proud heritage and history beginning first with a small gathering of disciples on the edge of Hartsville. As the city grew, so did Wesley, moving into the heart of downtown. From her location at the corner of Fourth Street and East College business district, Wesley has ministered, reached out, been a beacon of friendship, hospitality, hope and encouragement for everyone who has entered these doors.
From Wesley's watch Western Darlington County has been strengthened and made a difference in the lives of persons young and old; rich and poor; men and women. We rejoice that Wesley has been at the forefront of capped persons, the arts, music, the needy and disadvantaged, education and many concerns of our community.
I challenge each of us and our wonderful Wesley United Methodist Church to see the years that lie ahead as times of even greater opportunity to spread the Word and Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. |
