Wesley’s Music

The Wesley United Methodist Chancel Choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Worship Service and presents annual Christmas and Easter Cantatas as well as special music at other times. The choir performs many types of music from traditional and “classical” anthems to contemporary Christian music and spirituals. The Chancel Choir is comprised of men and women of all ages who are willing to make a commitment to rehearse on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and sing on Sundays.

The Handbell Choir includes men and women who are interested in ringing (English style) handbells. This ensemble which performs occasionally can include anyone who has some music reading skills.  The Handbell choir rehearses at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.

These ensembles are directed by Music Director, Dr. James Beaumier who has served Wesley for 21 years and is only the third choir director in the more than 100 year history of the church.

Dennis Schaefer, originally from New Jersey, has been Wesley’s organist going on 9 years now.
